In Aronia fruits, anthocyanins represent the second largest group of phenolic compounds, with concentrations ranging between 0.60% and 2.00% of dry weight (Kokotkiewicz et al., 2010). The presence of anthocyanins is one of the most important factors determining the antioxidant capacity of the plant. Thanks to its high anthocyanin content, Aronia has a higher antioxidant capacity compared to many other plants. Aronia fruits are referred to as functional foods due to their rich chemical composition and high antioxidant activity [1].
Aronia causes a noticeable astringent sensation in the mouth (tactile, drying and tightening effect). This astringent effect is due to the condensed tannins contained in it [1].
The fruits of the plant are not only consumed as a nutritious food, but are also used as a traditional herbal medicine. Aronia berries are primarily used in Russia and some Eastern European countries for their hypotensive and anti-atherosclerotic effects [1].
Aronia berries have a high content of phenols, dietary fiber, organic acids, sugars, fats, proteins, minerals (especially zinc and potassium) and vitamins (vitamin C) [1]. They contain relatively high amounts of K and Zn and varying amounts of Na, Ca, Mg and Fe. Aronia fruits also contain minerals as well as vitamins B1, B2, B6 and C, niacin, pantothenic acid, folic acid, α- and β-tocopherol and carotenoids (including β-carotene and β-cryptoxanthin) [2].

Introduction of Use
Apply Aronia Anti-Aging Cream once or twice daily to cleansed skin, in circular motions, from the décolleté upwards.
